Sightseeing
Marietta was one of first permanent settlements in the United States established in 1788. It has a ton of historical sites . "The Castle House" "The Anchor" "W.P Snyder Jr River Boat". My personal favorite is "Mound Cemetery" a must see in my opinion. Marietta College brings a nice mix of local, bars, restaurants and coffee shops to the area as well.

only a 4 min drive of 30 min walk from our house is Hune Covered Bridge! Fun little stop to take some pictures.

Irish Run Natural Bridge is part of Archers Fork Trailhead. Irish Run is a 9.5 mile Loop. Irish Run Natural Bridge is one of the Largest in Ohio stretching 51 feet long and over 39 feet high! Definitely worth the hike.

The wilds is an amazing experience for any Animal lover. Located only 1 hour 15 mins away is the The Wilds housing many of the Animals for the Columbus Zoo in an open range environment unlike anything you see at the Zoo.

So depending on the weather if you walk down the road just pass the cabin 100-300 yards you will be able to see up to 3 different roadside waterfalls! After a heavy rain or snow melt these waterfalls can even be heard from the back deck. It's beautiful and so relaxing 🥰

This famous bakery is located in Cambridge, Ohio right off route 77. We always make a stop here on our way out to the cabin. Nothing better than sitting on our back deck drinking coffee and enjoying a fresh pecan cinnamon roll from Kennedy's. My daughter's favorite is the Cinnamon Crunch Stick.

Hiking
If your into hiking this is a must. Archers Fork is one of the best trails in Ohio. It's a beautiful 12.9 mile Loop trail. It's not an easy hike and I wouldn't recommend for beginners. The evaluation changes can make this trail very challenging but well worth the trip. :)
