A decent culinary delight near our apartment. By its name, this place serves one of the iconic Vietnamese dish - "Hủ Tiếu" - aka rice noodle. The popular crafted dish comes with tender pork, succulent shrimp, and fragrant spices. However, I strongly recommend you should try the Bone Marrow rice noodle (Hủ tiếu xương ống). You may have it in dried (khô) or in soup (nước). In dried, they'll separate the rice noodle and the soup (with bone marrow) in 2 different bowls. This would bring you a new fresh taste. One of my favorite choice to eat Bún Bò Huế ("Hue beef noodle soup", a speciality of Huế province – former capital of Vietnam). When you come, just order a standard bowl. Don't forget to tell them to dip the vegetables quickly if you don't like raw. Here they also sell sugar cane juice. The price is around VND 50,000 per bowl. Address (just copy on maps): 12/8 Đ. This place has delicious provicial food from Phan Rang province. Main food includes: - Bánh Căn: a small savory rice cake that are often cooked in special round molds. It looks similar to Bánh Khọt (you may ggl it) - Bánh Xèo: a Vietnamese savory crepe made from rice flour and turmeric, giving it a distinctive yellow color. - Nem Cuốn: also known as Vietnamese spring rolls or fresh spring rolls, are made with translucent rice paper wrappers filled with various ingredients such as shrimp, herbs, rice vermicelli, and sometimes pork or other proteins. They are often served with a peanut dipping sauce or a hoisin-based sauce. From personal advice, I would recommend you should try Bánh Căn, and don't forget to dip it with many different sauces that they have. This is one of my favorite spot to stop by. Black chicken (silkie) meat contains a lot of protein, vitamins, and minerals. From personal experience, I usually order a hotpot (lẩu) (VND 150,000 - 200,000) for 2 people or noodles (mì) for 1 person. Stir-fried black chicken (balut) eggs with tamarind should be a great starter for the meal (trứng gà ác lộn xào me). Address: 510Bis Nguyen Thi Thap street, Tan Quy ward, district 7

"Cơm niêu" is a traditional Vietnamese dish that involves cooking rice in a clay pot until it develops a crispy, golden crust at the bottom. This dish is often referred to as "broken rice clay pot" in English. The place is suitable for 3-4 people at least because each dish in the menu is quite large, and we share all the dishes eaten with rice. I used to bring my parents here a few times for lunch. They cook good food, just a little high price but it's clean. Price: around VND 150,000 - 200,000 per pax Address: 74 Nguyen Thi Thap, Him Lam Urban Area, District 7

"Mì cay Seoul" refers to a popular Vietnamese dish that is inspired by Korean flavors, particularly the spicy and savory elements found in Korean cuisine. This dish combines Vietnamese and Korean culinary influences to create a flavorful and satisfying meal. Please note that the spicy level ranges from 1 to 7 with 7 is the spiciest (usually nobody can eat up to 7; the spiciest taster I've known so far is level 4). I personally eat level 0 (no spicy). This place is a remark for spicy lover. Address: 518 Nguyen Thi Thap, Tan Quy ward, District 7

This is the place where I usually go to for a quick lunch. Cơm tẫm is a cherished Vietnamese culinary delight that encapsulates the essence of the country's vibrant street food culture. Translating to "broken rice", Cơm tấm is a dish that originated from the resourcefulness of using fractured rice grains. The signature dish in our country is Cơm tấm sườn bì chả (Broken rice with grilled pork chop, meatloaf and shredded pork skin), but you may try other meats with Cơm tấm upon your choice. And don't forget to order a bowl of soup. Price ranges from VND 50,000 to 70,000 per meal. Address: 607 Nguyen Thi Thap street, Tan Hung ward, district 7

"Bún chả" is a classic Vietnamese dish originating from Hanoi, the capital city of Vietnam. It consists of grilled pork patties, slices of pork belly, rice vermicelli noodles, fresh herbs, and a dipping sauce. (Former president Barack Obama used to have this in Hanoi). When you order Bún chả, you'll receive a plate with the grilled pork patties and slices of pork belly, a bowl of rice vermicelli noodles, and a generous portion of fresh herbs and vegetables. The dipping sauce is served in a small bowl alongside. To enjoy the dish, you take a bit of noodles, some herbs, and a piece of pork, and then dip it into the sauce before taking a bite. The contrast of textures and flavors, from the tender meats to the refreshing herbs and the savory dipping sauce, creates a delightful eating experience. Nestled in this vibrant neighborhood, the restaurant offers a gastronomic journey centered around the delicate and flavorful lươn ("eel") dishes. For those who would like to try a new taste of eel, this is a perfect choice to go to. You have 3 options to eat eel with miến (glass noodles), cháo (porridge), or bánh mì (bread). For glass noodle, you may eat in fried (xào) or soup (nước). Eel itself can be made in fried (chiên) or steamed (hấp). I usually order fried eel glass noodle (miến lươn chiên) because fried eel tastes like snacks. Address: 108 No. 79 street, Tan Quy Ward, District 7

We have a private art gallery where we would like to invite friends over to enjoy the world class oil realistic paintings. The paintings were imported from the USA. Each painting has a story behind, and they connect to become a whole meaningful story. You don't need to know much about arts, because there will be a narrator who will give a tour. The session is usually 2 hours. It is free and has a good atmosphere to release your stress.
