You get very delicious and beautiful predefined menus (that change weekly, choices can be made between, meat, fish and vegetarian) or a few extras. Apperitif and vine is included. The latter is also produced by the family and can also be bought on site.

Good restaurant with delicious food, good vine and a stunning view based on the high cliffside of Venasque. Ask for a table close to the windows for best view. Make sure to also plan some time to walk the village when you come here.

Very good pizza, both on "white" (cream) and "red" (tomato) basis. We always take a few pizzas here as it is close enough to the house to get them back hot. We always ordered and picked up. Make sure to try the goat cheese and honey pizza.

There is a few bars in the neighboring village of St. Didier, this is the one I like the most. You can sit out front or also in the back. Always good for a quick coffee or beer, especially on Market day. They also offer food, but I personally never tried it.

There are various tour providers for kayaking on the river Sorgues that all have the same things in common: easy going cruising on clear (and cold) water and a beautiful landscape. From all those that we have tried, this one just down stream from the source in Fontaines de Vaucluse is our favorite, as (in our opinion) it has the most scenic section. Staff is also friendly and prices reasonable.

Tour de France comes through here from time to time, so the roads are very popular for cyclists. Can be quite cold up top on windy days. Be aware that the access to the peak is restricted in the colder parts of the year. There are some scenic hiking trails all around. Bring sun screen, as the top is above treeline.

My whole family and myself are regular customers and good drinkers here ;) They recently remodeled their shop and everything is now modern, a bit bigger and pleasing. Very good local vine production and selection. They also offer different tastings. My personal favorite is the "Luno" red, however there is enough choice and variation for different tastes. Prices are good too!

St. Didier is just next to La Roque. It has a few small shops (small supermarket, butcher, 2 bakeries, pharmacy etc) as well as a few places to eat and drink. The old part of St. Didier is very "pitoresque". Market is on Monday.

Lots of small shops and bars/restaurants around the Chateau in the center of the village. Very nice panorama view! Some Cafes (eg. Le Cercle Republicain) offer also some nice balcony tables in the back "above" the village and landscape.

La Roque is a bit sleepy, but also a very beautiful and small village, be sure to have a look on the Village from the plain just opposite of it!

Avignon is a must when you are in the region. I recommend one day for sightseeing (palace of the pope, old city, fortifications and bridge) and maybe one additional day for culture and shopping. in spring and summer quite some festivals etc. happening.
