They spared no expense to create an amazing atmosphere when Sierra Nevada moved to Western NC. If you're wanting to eat there (the food is great!), reservations are required. But, if you just want to explore the grounds with a cold beer in hand, the back garden is all yours. We particularly love this place because they have a pollinator garden to wander through, plenty of places to sit and relax, and many of the beers on tap can only be found there.

Fat Tire seems to be a great go to beer. So, of course, New Belgium would be a great go to brewery - especially if you've been spending time down in the River Arts District.

Highland is one of the best breweries that was already around when Asheville's brewery boom happened. Their Gaelic Ale is one of the best beers in existence. (And you can get it on tap all over the place - including Green River BBQ in Saluda.)

This was a wonderful surprise we recently stumbled upon after heading back to Saluda after a day of exploring Mills River. Big beautiful space with great outdoor seating, and rotating food trucks.
