Silver Sands park provides a long stretch of beach from which we can watch the sun rise over Long Island Sound. With Charles Island in the foreground and passing boats in the mid view the skyline lights on fire as the sun nears the horizon. Waiting for low tide is ideal to walk to Charles Island, you will see a majestic path clear up to walk and enjoy this experience. July is nesting season seagulls are overprotective so be careful.

At low-tide and maybe its a 1 mile walk to Charles Island ; wonderful (like Moses split the Red Sea). Captain Kidd's missing treasury rumored to have been buried there.

Fowler Park near the harbor, has tennis courts, a baseball field, basketball court, a playground and a public library. Pleasant strolls along the harbor where you can enjoy the boats, specifically stunning at night.

This place is tucked away in the rear of Broad St (the center of Milford, CT). They have indoor & outdoor seating, a full service bar (lots of choices in the beer department) and the staff is very friendly. The menu is simple. Pizza! No subs, no calzones, no spaghetti or pasta, just Pizza! The pies are about 15", just right for one person (I like pizza). The crust is thin and the toppings are plentiful. I highly recommend trying Colony Grill for your next "where do you want to go for pizza" night.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. In this time of Corona virus, people will call either ahead or from the parking lot. They will come out and bring your food. If you plan to eat it hot, they will make sure it's ready to eat for you. If you plan to heat it up later for dinner, since they are only open until 3:00 Monday through Saturday. They will give it to you cold and ready to bake in the oven.

Local bar with flair and good food. They have a decent wine and beer list and tasty food. Outdoor seating in the summer is convenient for leisure time. Perfect for Sports watching plenty of TVs situated perfectly for viewing on all angles.

A perfect spot to enjoy after the beach, has authentic Greek food with a relaxed atmosphere. Vegetarian dishes are fantastic and fantastic desserts.
