Food scene
Clear Lake is a small Brewery about 20 minutes drive from the cottage. There craft beer is great, and there's pretty good food there too. We always order the pizza!!
There's a huge playground for the kids and in good weather months, and outdoor patio area with live music.

4651 Southwood RdClear Lake is a small Brewery about 20 minutes drive from the cottage. There craft beer is great, and there's pretty good food there too. We always order the pizza!!
There's a huge playground for the kids and in good weather months, and outdoor patio area with live music.

Hiking and biking by day and star gazing by night. The Barrens is a must visit. It's a 10 minute drive from Piper's Landing.
This is a dedicated dark sky area so the views at night are amazing.

This is about a 50 minute drive but it's worth it. The drive itself is beautiful. The town has all kinds of cool shops, surf shops/antiques/muskoka wear etc.
Hard to go wrong with any restaurant in town but we like to get breakfast sandwiches at York & Mason. Grab a sandwich and then walk across the road to see the boats move through the locks.
In good summer months there are pop up shops set up on the waterfront
