Food scene
Soho Square is a shopping and food open air mall with high quality restaurants and shops. They have regular free evening shows with professional dancers, singers and musicians. The decor is magical at night with thousands of light decorations, a fountain show and iconic statues. It also boasts an ice rink and an ice bar as well as a museum and children attractions.

Abo Ali is a chain of local Egyptian food restaurants to visit if you want to experience eating in a typical Egyptian restaurant. It is not set-up for tourists so be ready to try your basic Arabic to order. There are 3 Abo Ali in Sharm, Hadaba, Haynour and Nabq.

Sports and Fun
Ghibli is a Karting facility with high safety standards that regular hosts international competitions.
You get an induction training, helmet and racing suit, a choice of cars, pictures and videos. At the end of the race you get your race card with timings, records and benchmark comparisons.
It is suited to young children as they adapt the racecourse to be simpler and safer. Very young children can also participate in dual sitting cars with an adult driving. Even my 91 year old father in law enjoyed racing with his carer in the driving seat.
For those who do not want to race, there is a cafe on the first floor with a terrace with a view on the race course.
It is a lot of fun!

Dolphina offers amazing dolphin daily shows at 3pm and 15mns swimming with the dolphins. It is particularly suited to families and children, with other animals such as otters living there.
During holiday times, expect Dolphina to be busy.

Less well-known is Nabq park situated at the north of Sharm-El-Sheikh with beautiful beaches, horse riding, mangrove, Bedouin village, museum and sports beach (Adrenalin).
I don't know if there are organised trips to this park. It is easy to visit by car or riding.

This cafe is situated on the cliff surrounding Naama Bay pedestrian area. You have great views of the area with night-time shows.
My favourite place to chill-out in Naama Bay.

Farsha Mountain Lounge is best visited at night. Bedouin sitting areas, magical lighting, amazing views, chill-out music, cocktails (including alcohol) and food, it is the place to go to chill-out.

My favourite excursion outside Sharm-El-Sheikh. The colours changed with the light and time of the day. It requires a certain amount of mobility and fitness. I am not sure if it is suited to children or people with mobility problems.
