310 Houston St (10min drive) Upscale, “Cowboy chic” restaurant. A bit pricey for the food, but it’s the rooftop that’s the real draw. Tip: weather permitting, definitely get a spot on the rooftop. Good for a drink before a show.
4400 White Settlement Rd (15min drive) Fresh modern Italian faire, pizzas, and cocktails. Not located in one of the predescribed areas. Recently named one of the top new restaurants in Texas. Fun, large, varied outdoor space. If the weather’s nice, it’s a great spot. Indoor seating is limited.

5240 N O'Connor Blvd, Suite 160, Irving (35-40min drive) This one's pretty far out of the way, but WELL worth the drive; it's probably our favorite restaurant, period. Healthy, organic, fresh authentic Mexican cuisine (healthy Mexican, yes!), great cocktails, and wonderful service. And if you've got dietary restrictions, no matter what it may be, they have you covered. Literally 90% of their menu is gluten free. And they have a number of dairy-free, paleo-friendly, vegetarian and vegan-friendly options, too. Even the desserts are gluten free, and you would never know it by the taste! Hugo's is perfect for dates, big groups, birthdays, late nights out, whatever. I've never had anything but a truly great time there, and they go out of their way to ensure you do. Plus, their bar service is excellent, and they have a CBD-infused organic margarita, if that's of interest to you! I cannot recommend this place enough, well worth the drive. They're also open for brunch on the weekends, and it is awesome as well. (Among our favorite menu items: the wagyu carne asada, the scallops, red snapper, seafood enchiladas, the barbacoa appetizer, whatever the chef soup is that day, I could go on... Favorite brunch items, the smoked brisket machaca, huevos benedict, and the blueberry pancakes (those are vegan friendly, but not gluten free). Cocktails: Spicy Oaxaca, Anejo Bravo, and Whiskeyberry.)
