Great family-friendly restaurant on the Stanford Hills wine estate. Good menu choices, and lots of space for the kids to run around, including a jungle gym and mini golf. Reservations recommended especially on weekends / school holidays.

Wonderful setting, space for the kids to run (although there is a large unfenced dam so need to supervise), good menu choices.

Awesome spot for the kids with a grassy play area with jungle gym, trampoline, sand pit and swing/slides, also farm animals to feed. Picnic food available for sale (no BYO) including the award winning cheese produced on the farm. Wine available. Open every day except Sunday.

Saturday mornings at 08:00 you can take part in a free timed 5km Park Run at Groeneweide Farm near Franskraal, about 15 minutes drive from Shelly Beach House. Reasonably challenging route (hilly & sandy in places), but a great way to start your weekend, with or without the kids!

Beaches & Coastline
Fantastic place to spend a day enjoying beautiful deserted beaches and some fun 4x4 driving to get in. If you only have a 2x4 you can park at the first carpark at the historical Drip Gat Cave and walk from there, but if you have a 4x4, let some air out of your tyres and keep going. No facilities so you need to take everything in and out.
