Rothesay has lots to do and see, since the Victorian times it has been the Riveara of Scotland Rothesay is a smart Victorian seaside resort and the main town on the east side of Isle of Bute. This highly accessibly town is very traditional and good looking with signs of its Victorian heritage including a splendid Victorian frontage cradling the romantic Rothesay Bay. From the castle to the museum, then lots of shops, boutiques and eateries you'll have lots of things to do visit https://www.visitscotland.com/info/towns-villages/rothesay-p234971 to read more

Consejos sobre la ciudad

Qué meter en la valija

bring wellies and wet weather gear

if it rains you'll want waterproofs etc, wells for paddling in the sea
Qué meter en la valija

bring extra towels

we supply limited towels , so if you stay for a while bring some more, especially beach towels for sunbathing on the beach
Cómo moverse

limited bus and taxis

you are probably best to have your own car unless you plan to stay only in Kilchattan Bay, if you do there are plenty of great walks, beach and hills, but bring your own food as the shop in Post Office is limited for food supplies and nearest pub is 1 mile away

Don't miss the Ferry!

Give yourself at least 25 minutes to get to the ferry from the flat, I have nearly missed it so many times! Check the times carefully at https://www.calmac.co.uk/article/2916/Bute-Wemyss-Bay---Rothesay Watch out for the winter /summer timetable and Sunday timetables
