Things to Do

Farmers Market - April through November Located in the heart of downtown Boulder on 13th Street (between Canyon and Arapahoe) for the longest market season in the state of Colorado. Boulder's markets on Wednesday and Saturday offer the very best of the season—from farm fresh produce to locally raised meat, poultry, and eggs. You can also load up on bread and baked goods, plants and flowers, and Colorado-crafted specialty and ready-to-eat foods from our great vendors.
Nestled at the base of Boulder's dramatic flatiron rock formations, the Chautauqua Park is an open space boasting more than 40 miles of hiking trails right on the city's edge. The park's historic auditorium hosts concerts and other events. Chautauqua Park History Chautauqua Park is a portion of an iconic historic landmark dating back to when the City of Boulder began preserving wild lands over 100 years ago. In 1898, Boulder residents approved a bond issue to purchase 80 acres to be used as a “Chautauqua”. The park land owned by Boulder Parks and Recreation is located adjacent to OSMP trails, Chautauqua Dining Hall and Auditorium, and Chautauqua Ranger Cottage and provides a playground, tennis courts, and open turf. Amenities: Picnic Area (no shelters to reserve) Playground Restrooms Tennis Courts Demonstration Garden Hiking Trails (Open Space and Mountain Parks) Bike Racks Parking Lot and Street Parking RTD Access Bike Route Access Chautauqua Park – Playground Renovation Project Chautauqua Park playground and tennis court. In the park itself, children are found playing freely on the open turf and along the park’s edges, with an iconic view of the Flatirons.

Pearl Street Mall Situated in the heart of an energetic city is beautiful, historic Downtown Boulder. At the heart of Downtown Boulder is the Pearl Street Mall, a wonderfully charismatic four-block-long pedestrian mall that celebrated its 30th anniversary in 2007. Colorful, bright flowers fill the mall almost the entire year and street performers, with a multitude of talents, make the Pearl Street Mall one of the best people-watching destinations anywhere.
