Craft Beer Bars in Las Palmas

A list of bars specialising in craft beer from the Canaries and beyond.
CRAFT BEER BARS The Craft Beer revolution is well underway in Spain and the Canary islands in particular. Gran Canaria itself boasts three craft breweries as well as many smaller breweries that brew their own beer at these breweries under license. A lot of bars and restaurants across the island stock the more well known bottled and canned craft beer but there are specialist craft beer bars in the city that have better craft beer selections and many on tap too: CORIASSO’S CERVECERIA – (Calle los Martínez de Escobar, 34, 35007 Las Palmas – just behind the beach). Coriasso’s is a lively bar popular with locals which has up to 11 draft beers on at a time which are constantly changing. Coriasso’s also brew their own beer under the name ‘BEER 4 US’ so watch out for new creations. The staff are friendly and some speak English too. CERVECERÍA THE SITUATION – (Calle José Franchy Roca, 22, Las Palmas) Sporting up to 8 draft beers at a time and a large bottled & canned selection you’ll find something you like here. Great on a warm day as they have an outside seating area. ECHARLE HUEVOS – (Calle Mendizábal, 37, 35001 Las Palmas – Vagueta Old Town). This is by far and away the place to be in Vagueta for craft beer. Up to 6 draft beers at a time and with a great bottle range this is a great bar to end up in after doing La Ruta de Tapa on a Thursday. They also have live music often. LAS BUENAS PULGAS – (Paseo las Canteras, 84, 35010 Las Palmas – on the beach front). If you want to watch a sunset with a good beer then try Las Buenas Pulgas. Draft options vary but they normally have 3 or more beers on draft. They also have a large selection of craft bottles and cans out the back of the bar so take a look. BEER CASTLE – (Calle José Franchy Roca, Paseo las Canteras, número 2, 35007 Las Palmas- on the beach) Again a great beach front location to try many beers. The focus here is more on continental beers with many Belgian beers on offer. They usually have 5 or more draft beers on too which are well worth a try. LA VENTANA DEL MERCADO – (Calle Néstor de la Torre, 17, 35006 Las Palmas) Only open in the daytime, this cute café bar has up to 3 draft beers on and does great tostada breakfasts and tapas too.
