This is a great place to visit with kids. It is an environmental education center and zoo housing many local animals in habitats along a flat walking path. There are many interactive exhibits that will entertain kids of all ages and a boat ride on Squam lake can be added. It's around a half hour drive.

This is my favorite amusement park in New England. The grounds are beautiful and clean. There are rides for all ages, a water park, and several types of entertainment including tribute band shows, magic shows etc. It's a little over an hour drive and makes a great day trip.

Right in the complex is Campton Mountain, a small but very reasonably priced ski mountain which also has a lounge with great food and entertainment on weekend nights during ski season. The two rope is great for beginners and young kids. There is also a chairlift to the top.

A drive across beautiful Bear Notch Road and a short hike from the parking lot will bring you to a series of pools that will be a hit with older kids. The water is cold but scenery is beautiful.
