Limited seating inside, but multiple picnic tables outside for larger groups.

Recently re-opened mid-sized ski mountain with none of the crowds of nearby Loon and Cannon, yet better snow, affordable prices, and a surprisingly great lodge and restaurant. If you ever wanted to have a private mountain all to yourself, Tenney's about as close as you'll find to this experience anywhere and just 15 minutes down the road.

Hidden just around the corner from Campton Pond and Falls (which you likely turned left at when arriving into the condo) is the historic Campton Dole Mill. After closing in 1965 as one of the oldest woolen mills in the country, the mill has recently been experiencing new life as a vintage video game arcade, radio control car track, and a small collectibles/souvenir shop. As a labor of love of local owners Jessye and Sky Bartlett hours can vary so best to call ahead or plan to swing by on nights and weekends.

Favorite NH State Park attraction featuring a two mile loop of boardwalk and stairs exposing you to the quintessential White Mountain Forest experience of waterfalls, trees, water, & The Flume’s 100+ year old covered bridge. Looking for a local hike with a strong physical ascent, gorgeous views, and a decent sized parking lot just 3 miles from the condo? The popular Welch-Dickey trail and loop has you covered with it’s 4.5 mile total distance, 1,751 foot elevation gain, and 2734’ peak elevation. While not the easiest hike in the area, most hikers complete the loop in a modest 3-4 hours round trip. As with all hiking in the Whites, extra water and hiking boots are mandatory minimum equipment.

Chronically mis-pronounced (there’s no “N” in Kanc-a-ma-gus!) “The Fearless One” is a 34 mile scenic drive up and through the White Mountain Natural Forest reaching an elevation of 3,000 feet. Consistently rated one of NH’s most scenic drives for its breathtaking views of the White Mountain range, Sabbaday Falls, and the Swift River. As you might guess, there’s a great deal of Native American history along the way and while most-often visited for its stunning Autumn vistas and foliage, the Kancamagus remains equally compelling all seasons of the year.

Local favorite that some have called the "Little Grand Canyon of New Hampshire." In case you're wondering, that's an expectation no sculptured rocks in NH are beating, let alone one 30 seconds for a roadway and consisting of interesting rock formations with a nice swimming hole to cool down in on hot summer days. Bring your hiking shoes and explore some of the connected trails just past Sculptured Rocks for some easy afternoon strolling through the woods.

Market Basket’s the grocery store that would make the cut for New Hampshire’s Mt Rushmore, if there ever were such an initiative after the state watched the Old Man on the Mountain rock formation fall to it’s demise in 2003. It’s also the newest grocery store in the region, with traditionally lower prices than Hannaford’s around the corner.
