Forodhani Gardens is located inside Zanzibar’s historic Stone Town, along the main promenade by the seafront.

if you consider yourself a beach person and you plan on visiting Zanzibar, Mtende Beach definitely needs to be added to your list. The main section of the beach is situated between two rock formations, in a big cove. It’s absolutely stunning, and one of the coolest places to watch the tides change on the island.

There is a luxury resort on the island which you can stay at for upwards of 1000$ a night. The owner of the property is rumoured to be Bill Gates! Since it’s a private island, non-guests aren’t allowed on the island. But no matter where you’re staying in Zanzibar you can snorkel at the reefs. There’s also a sandbank that’s awesome to hang out at.
