This little hole in the wall has great cocktails and delicious drinks. It has no signage, and is set back from the street along a little path, tucked into the side of a building. You can recognize it by the red light that lights outdoors. Sometimes you need to check in and provide your name, waiting for a call for your table. There are plenty of great bars in the area (near Ossington & Dundas) . The food is Japanese inspired tapas style. Have the dyno wings (how is there a pork dumpling inside my chicken wing!), the slamon aburi and litterally anything else. Is on the loud, hipster side of things and is a small location, better to go if you are 2 or 3 people.

Beast is a great little neighborhood spot. Their menu is great all the time, but they are known for their brunch. Expect a wait for a table in line on their patio, but grab a coffee on your way and on a sunny day it's worth it. Their brunch is delicious. We love the sausage gravy on their breakfast sandwich and the maple bacon doughnuts. So Canadian! They source good quality local ingredients to craft their menu.

UFO is really more of a corner store with an old, slightly grimy diner counter and restaurant inside. But if you need a greasy bacon and eggs, or a delicious diner style burger, this place is a spot. The food is certainly nothing amazing, but a good local breakfast spot, that attracts all kinds of local characters. We go for bacon and eggs and bad coffee when we're a bit hungover. Mr. Lee and his family are friendly and put off a hearty meal. Sit at the bar and grab a paper or bring a book.

Historic Fort York. This is where Toronto began. See old barrack buildings, cannons and museum, get a glimpse into early life here.

Sightseeing

The CN Tower is the tallest building in Toronto, and for a while when it was built held the record for tallest buidling in the world. Take the elevator up and see the city from a new angle, get a glimpse down through the glass floor. If you're crazy, you can get strapped to the outside this building and walk around on top. Pretty touristy, but one of those "must do's" when in Toronto. *Disclaimer* I've lived in Toronto 12 years and never been up it.

Parks & Nature

Need some green? Trinity bellwoods is a large city park full of life. On a sunny day you'll have hipsters lying on blankets hiding the beer they're drinking, families enjoying picnics and playing with frisbees, little kids in the sandbox and playing on the slides and swings, couples walking their dogs, musicisans playing drums, cyclists weaving through all the people - it's always nice to walk through or take a snack and chill out and people watch for a while. Nearby the park entrance there are coffee shops and a few restaurants with take out food, so if you didn't plan ahead with a pic-nic, you are probably covered.
