Jurassic stronghold located on an extinct volcano. The castle, which in its heyday in appearance and significance competed with Wawel - located only 30 kilometers from the borders of Krakow, surrounded by the Dulowska Primeval Forest, landscape parks and reserves. Anyone who has traveled to western Lesser Poland will surely recognize its silhouette without any mistake, as it proudly towers over the entire area. From the characteristic Wind Tower there is a breathtaking landscape that covers not only the Krzeszowice Trench and the surrounding towns, but also the Beskids, and sometimes even ... the Tatra Mountains! For eleven years it has been subject to security works; from four - re-opened to tourists who visit it with increasing numbers each season. In recent years, it has become the arena of various events accompanying the visit: referring to the history of the castle (staging of the castle's defense against the Swedish Deluge), or the geological history of the region ("Stone Festival. Exhibition of Agates from Rudno and the surrounding area"), and many others: theater performances, concerts, exhibitions and shows. The organizer of tourist traffic at the Castle is the NEW ERA ART Foundation. 24 km (30 min) from our house.
