The walled city, A place you can roam around and travel back into our history during the colonization of the spaniards, wherein most security guards are still dressed up back in those times which are called "Guardia Civil". Some roads are preserved to walk you through the history by passing thru bricked rocky road. "Kalesa" experience, a horse with a cart that is used during those times as a mode of transportation for the elite personalities. Buildings retain their spanish looks with a little twist of a modern design. Food are relatively cheap due to the occupation mostly by the College students. We could suggest eating in the walls of intramuros just in front of the school Mapua Institute of Technology where you could choose a lot of variety during daytime. How to get here: Ride LRT-1 at 5th avenue station. Go down at "Central Terminal Station" You can walk for 10min to reach the Intramuros OR ride a "Padyak" a bicycle with cart on the side for 20-30 Php per person.

Parks & Nature

"Manila’s iconic Rizal Park is spread out over some 60 hectares of open lawns, ornamental gardens, ponds, paved walks and wooded areas, dotted with monuments to a whole pantheon of Filipino heroes. It's an atmospheric place to take a stroll, particularly late afternoons, early evenings and weekends. As the place where José Rizal was executed by the Spanish colonial authorities, it's of great historical significance. Here you'll find the Rizal Monument (fronted by a 46m flagpole and guarded by sentries in full regalia), which contains the hero’s mortal remains and stands as a symbol of Filipino nationhood.” Excerpt From: Lonely Planet. “Lonely Planet Philippines.” How to get here: Ride Tricycle going to LRT-1 at 5th avenue station. Ride LRT-1 going to U.N. Station (ask guards). Go down at "U.N. Station" You can walk for 10min to reach the Rizal Park.
