As you climb up John West Rd from Road 426, and end up in Jean Road East, you will be blown away by some of the best views of the mountains and dense forest trees. At 3100 ft above sea level, you get some good snow but the roads are maintained by county all the way to drive-way.

Black Oak Forest Villa - What to expect?

Welcome to the Black Oak Forest Villa. We hope your stay is memorable, comfortable and above all an escape into nature and away from routine. This guide contains information that will help you during your stay. Instructions are provided to help you operate the Minisplit Units and Spa, please read these instructions upon your arrival. A bear-proof trash bin is provided behind the carport, please keep the lid chains latched. Netflix is available on both TVs. Wi-Fi password is “ErnieB59” There is a lot to do in Oakhurst, Bass Lake and Yosemite. Feel free to take it all in or do nothing.

Yosemite National Park

A reservation will be required to drive into or through Yosemite National Park from May 20 through September 30, 2022, for those driving into the park between 6 am and 4 pm. If you are planning to visit after peak hours, please try to start from the house by 5:30 AM. Do not attempt to arrive before 4 pm; vehicles blocking roads will be cited. For reservations, be sure to have a Recreation gov account and be logged in and ready to get a reservation promptly at 8 am PDT. If you have a wilderness permit reservation (for backpacking) or Half Dome permit, you do not need an additional reservation.
