Sightseeing
Ditch Plains beach in Montauk is a great beach, and has facilities (bathrooms, showers) and a few food trucks. The parking lots at the beach require resident permits, however you can hike in from Shadmoor State Park which has free parking (go early to get a spot). There are also parking lots in the town of Montauk to pay to park (Kirk Beach) or park on the street and pay attention to parking rules (i.e. 2 hour parking, etc).
