Pizza can be a divisive issue, but I think we can agree that a slice of peperoni pizza from Mama's Pizza Kitchen is delicious!

Popeyes got a lot of attention for their chicken sandwich, but I think the chicken sandwich from Open Crumb is the sandwich to beat. Oh and they make their own bread. How cool is that!

I've never had a bad meal here. It's tapas style, but I find the portions generous.

I can't list all the monuments and museums on the National Mall, but trust me, there is PLENTY to do and see when you get there.

I really enjoyed the tour of the capitol building I didn't think I'd be that into it, but it was cool. Go online first to book a ticket. Free of course :)

Neighborhoods

Some of my favorite places to eat are in Navy Yard. It's also a great place to people watch and relax with a view of the river.

Welcome to Anacostia! The friendly people here have deep roots in DC. The neighborhood has tons of history and you can learn about it from walking the heritage trail: https://www.culturaltourismdc.org/portal/documents/701982/1379051/ANACOSTIA_TRAIL_130204+cropped.pdf
