Dog park
Closed off area exclusively for your canine friends.
Closed off space specifically for dogs, this park has a designated area for small dogs and big dogs. Great place to let your pup run off leash. It’s the closest park to our place, only about a five minute walk.

About a 12-15 minute walk from our place, this is a lovely park where canines usually walk about off-leash. There isn’t a specific designated area for dogs that is closed off, but it’s very dog-friendly. To access this area, walk towards the Basicilica San Francisco, head to the left, snd the park is behind the church. Parque de las vistillas is also next door, definitely worth checking out.

To leash or not to leash
Dogs are not allowed off leash unless it’s before 10am in the parks. You will see many people have their dogs off leash on the street, too. Usually the police do not say anything, unless you have a breed that is called PPP (Perros Potencialmente Peligrosos - Potentially Dangerous Dogs.) these breeds include Rottweilers, Pit bulls, Amstaffs, Akitas, Argentinian Dogo’s. These breeds legally have to wear a muzzle as well. Just to avoid issues with the police (the fine is up to 6,000€) make sure that if you have a breed like this, leash and muzzle them. Sad but true!
