I am fairly new to Murfreesboro, but this trail is on my list to do. It's highly recommended by experienced hikers. It's about 70 minutes from the Zen apartment.

From google: The trail signs were a bit confusing (don’t start right behind the visitor center, you want to go to the left and go around, finishing at the waterfall) but overall it’s a gorgeous park!
The hiking is very easy, with mostly flat trails, yet there are other smaller trails that are more advanced if you’re up for a challenge! Plus the best views of the waterfall/ rivers are down these smaller, more challenging trails that are worth the effort!
There were lots of people swimming while I was there, so that’s a fun idea!
The trail is well marked and easy to follow, and for the most part is shaded so it’s a great hike in the summer time!
I highly recommend this gorgeous park for a quick trip into nature- and the history behind it is very cool as well! There are lots of placards around the trail explaining the rich history of this place. -Madelin Mazurek, google review
