The market town of Cirencester is the old Roman capital of the Cotswolds once known as Corinium. It has a beautiful large church sitting in the old Abbey Grounds. There are lots of shops, restaurants, cafes and a market on Friday. There is entrance to the Bathurst Park at the top Cecily Hill with walks up to Cirencester Polo ground. Cirencester has a wonderful outdoor pool and fantastic Corinium Museum both worth visiting.
