Food Scene

By far my all time favourite restaurant in Montreal. The food, drinks and service are exceptional, and the experience is worth every penny. I usually order the steak for two, which comes with two sides, and maybe one appetizer to share between two people, the portion sizes are pretty big. Another favourite of mine is the Lobster Spaghetti, which is definitely big enough for two people to share. Definitely make a reservation well in advance (6-8 weeks), if not try the DINR app for last minute tables or make a reservation at their other restaurant Liverpool House (right next door) for a similar menu and experience.

One of my favourite local spots, and easily the best South East Asian restaurant in Montreal. They have a great selection of beers and cocktails, and everything on the menu is great. They tend to get pretty busy from Wednesday-Saturday at prime times, so get there early/late or be willing to wait for a little bit. Also, for some reason the address on the map isn't right, they have a stand at the Atwater Market, however their main restaurant is at 3721 Notre Dame Ouest.

Dinette Triple Crown is a really casual southern restaurant in Mile End. Everything is amazing, but their fried chicken is by far my favourite.

Adamo is a great neighbourhood pizza spot located pretty close to the apartment in the heart of St-Henri. There is no seating, but you can grab a slice or a whole pizza and take it to go or eat it at the counter. They have my favourite Pizza in Montreal. The only issue is that they're only open until 8pm.

Milano is my one of my favourite grocery stores in Montreal, and they have a great selection of Italian products. Their meat is far better than anything in a big name grocery store, and their produce is always really fresh.

The Atwater Market is one of two large public markets in Montreal. They have a wide selection of meat, cheese, and produce vendors, and everything offered there is much better than anything you would find in a grocery store. Each butcher specializes in different kinds of meat, and Fromagerie Atwater (on the lower level) has an amazing selection of cheeses. Les Douceurs du Marche is another great shop, with an amazing selection of spices, sauces, oils, and other gourmet food items. Definitely go early on weekends if you want to get the best produce, meat or seafood, as it can get extremely busy in the afternoon.

Bota Bota is one of the best spas in Montreal. All of their treatments are great, and their water circuit is a great way to relax. If you're just looking to do a water circuit, it is much cheaper to go on weekdays before 11am and after 6pm.

Parks & Nature

Parc Mont Royal is an amazing park located at the top of Mont-Royal. There are plenty of walking/jogging/hiking trails to explore and there are some great spots to get a view of the city. All the parks in Montreal are great for picnics if the weather is nice, and you can even bring beer, wine or other alcohol as long as you have enough food to justify it as a "substantial meal" (bread, cheese, and charcuterie is good enough).

If you're familiar with Ssense.com, they have a small store in Old Montreal that carries a small selection of what they have online.
