Food scene

We personally LOVE all of these places.
This is one of our favorite craft breweries (out of more than 50!) locally. They specialize in sours and midwest fruit tarts. They also have really good pizza (Wildfire Pizza Kitchen) and have live music most nights.

Another of our favorite breweries although it's located a little further out from the city center. They also have great food, and from spring-fall operate a really nice canoe and kayak outfitter. Their beers are also on draft or canned at most local bars.

Some of the best cocktails in the city and AMAZING food. The plates tend to be smaller and more expensive so we usually go here for date nights if we're getting food. Cocktails are good any time!

The City of Cincinnati is made of 52 distinct neighborhoods, each with their own vibe. Northside is recognized for its artsy, eclectic feel and is known as the place where you can truly be yourself. Our neighborhood is home to two independent record stores, several vintage clothes stores, tasty food, and great live music venues. Major neighborhood events include the Northside Fourth of July Parade (noon on July 4), Rock n’ Roll Carnival (July 4th Weekend), North by Northside (May) and Bewilderfest (August).

Be sure to try the goetta!

Goetta (pronounced GED-ah) is a hyper-regional specialty food. It's a breakfast meat made with pork, spices and rolled oats then fried to a crispy perfection. Most breakfast places in Cincinnati have it.

Artworks Mural Tour (can do self-guided)

Downtown and OTR are covered in original murals. Walking around to admire them is what I take my personal visitors to whenever in town. Pair this with a visit to Findlay Market, a few local beers, and a walk through Smale Park and you have yourself my ideal Cincinnati highlights in a day.
