Egebæksvang Church was consecrated on August 8, 1897, about 15 months after the groundbreaking ceremony on June 23 last year.
Since 1887, a committee working to collect funds for the construction of a chapel in Egebæksvang forest, since the parish was so large that it was difficult for many to come to the church in Tikøb. Coastal Population-one in the small fishing houses also had problems with the houses they died before they could get in the ground. In 1891 granted the Reichstag kr. 8,500, and the Ministry of Culture approved an estimate for the construction of kr. 32,000. Architect Ludvig Knudsen from Copenhagen accounted church and the builder.
Since the church was restored several times. The first time in 1922, when it was made more bright and friendly. The artists Joakim Skovgaard and Thorvald Bindesbøll had helped to put the stamp on the church ornamentation and choice of multi-colored cathedral glass - 50 in each buevin-dove mounted in the lead.
Both the artwork and the glasses and the cathedral was fortunately preserved. In the early 1970s made it a modest extension, whereby the nave walls were brought up to the tower's facade.
From 1977 to 1995 the church was sensitively but extensively restored interior, so that everything appeared bright and beautiful at the 100th anniversary in August 1997
