Eksjö has plenty of the old red-painted houses you have to make sure you see when you visit Småland. Charming little old town. Only a short drive from our place.

Kulturgatan (the culture-street) is a culture/art/food-project in the small village Bodafors. Amazing bakery, cultural activities and art exhibitions. 15 June - 15 September. We love it!

Here they offer safari among wild animals. You will get to see both mooses and deers on close hold. It is really fun and I warmly recommend it!

Beautiful island with both forest and farming landscapes. In the summer it is great for cycling, you can get the ferry over from Gränna, and rent bikes just as you arrive. Then take a whole day, cycle around the island, go swimming at the beaches and shop local food from the personal farm shops and cafes.

Jömköping is the closest reall city. It is located by the big lake Vättern which is nice to walk along - with the lake on your one hand side and the city life at the other. In Jönköping you will find a range of restaurants, cafes, museums etc. I recomment visiting Jönköpings läns museum, which has free entrance and local art.
