Martvili is located in Samegrelo region, Western Georgia, 280km from Tbilisi. The Martvili Canyon is a natural wonder. It used to be a bath place for Georgian Nobles, Dadiani family. Now it represents a touristic site. People visit it to enjoy the scenery, its waterfalls and take a boat trip in the river with deep green color. Visitors can enjoy 300-meter boat tour on river Abasha and beautiful views of mountain river canyon.
Taking walking or boat tours at Martvili Canyon tourists can explore the Dadianis’ Path, mountain river gorge, limestone natural bridges, overview platforms, waterfalls, XIX century water mill, fossil shells of nautiluses and sea urchins.

Museum collection description: The Museum houses collections of archaeological materials of the Early Stone Age and the Bronze Age (implements, weapons, ceremonial stones, adornments made in various materials, VII-Vi c.c. B.C. bronze sculpture Preacher, fibulas with various images, etc.). The rich numismatic collection includes IV-II c.c. B.C. gold coins, Cholchian tetri, collection of X-XVIII c.c. silver coins. There are also collection of XVIII-XIX c.c. manuscripts and charters, etc. The museum houses a library of XIX-XX c.c. editions (5.000 items), and collection of paintings of XX c. Georgian artists: Lado Gudiashvili's Samaia, Elene Akhvlediani's Our Village, and paintings of R.Stur
