Barrio
“A 20 minute walk from here or a very short bus ride. The Village has a laid-back atmosphere with lots of independent/trendy shops and a cafe culture. It's close to Wimbledon Common and you can go horse-riding from here as well.”

Deportiva
“If you want to get away from London's busy life, traffic and general bustle, it is the perfect place as a good walk on the common " blows away the cobwebs " . Horse riding is possible, picking up from the 2 Riding Stables in Wimbledon Village. Or just go for a "pint " / a beer in the many country type pubs that are on the edge of the common ; the Fox and Grapes is a particularly good one, for food also. ”

Museum
“Church Road, Wimbledon, London, SW19 Tennis fans should have the Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Museum high up on their list of places to visit. Here you will find out how the tennis transformed from a garden party past time to a multi-million dollar professional sport through films, audio guides, and interactive displays. You will be able to see the glittery trophies, memorabilia, and visit the changing rooms. You can also book a tour to see the grounds.”

Parque
“It is at the end of our road and is where the crowds of tennis fans camp every year for the Wimblefon queue. It had a pretty lake complete with swans and wildlife as well as boating activities; public tennis courts, bowls, cafe, children's play area etc. It is also a pleasant shortcut to Wimbledon village and the Tennis Grounds. ”

Pizzería

“4 minute walk, known for its oven fired sour dough pizzas, reasonably priced. Less crowded than Olive Garden but this is because it is adjacent to another Italian and next to a Fish and Chips Restaurant and thus somewhat less obvious. ”

“Cross the Lea Bridge roundabout, stay on upper clapton road, just past Clapton station on the right, this is a great spot - always really good music, food and a good selection of drinks. Big outdoor area with heaters, and cosy inside. Sometimes with a fire inside too! ”

Restaurante inglés
“If you want something special, this famous restaurant is the place to be. The food is first class, procu yet not extortionate. As it is impossible to get a table in the Ivy in central London, it is a joy to be able to get thr same food locally. ( Generally you do need to book a day in advance ) ”

“The best French Bakery in Town. Buy Freshly made bread and patisseries everyday. It’s France at your doorstep. Visit this shop for fresh baguettes, lovely pastries and lots of other French cheese and other produce. The staff are always warm and friendly too (good opportunity to practice your French). They make fresh sandwiches too so, great to buy your own sandwich before hitting the town for sightseeing.”
