We go underground where it is 16°C (60°F for us Yankees) a great way to beat the heat With over 300 km of underground tunnels surrounding Rome, even if you go out there alone, they will not let you go down by yourself, only with a guide to assure you don't get lost and become a permanent resident. With 10 years guiding experience under my belt, I will take you off the beaten path and bring ancient Roman society to life, telling the Stories behind the art and architecture. Showing you the masterpieces that you absolutely have to see before you leave Rome. We first go down to the Basilica that was built at the end of the 4th century AD above the tomb of the two martyrs Nereus and Achilleu. Then we will walk down further to the Best Preserved Catacombs of Rome. I will introduce you to the early Christian community of Imperial Rome, and of Catholicism in the city between the 2nd and 9th centuries. Ending near the Appia Antica where you are free to continue your Adventures. Usando solo los ingredientes más frescos, también te mostraré cómo preparar las famosas salsas romanas: Arrabbiata, Amatriciana, Carbonara, Cacio e Pepe, Gricia, Burro y Salvia. You don't have to wear your Sunday best when visiting the Vatican, but you still need to be mindful of what clothes you bring The duration of this tour is 1h 45 minutes inside the Vatican Museums we will start sharp on time but keep in mind this is always a group tour. We have to wait for each one of you for 15 minutes so everyone can attend this experience. We have to get headphones we have to go through security check which is mandatory and and that’s another 15 minutes long until I exchange the voucher on the desk. We will start officially once we are inside the Vatican Museums and finish 1h,40 minutes after exactly, so if the guide has shown up at 3:30 sharp the tour must finish at 5:30 sharp Please don’t mention on a review that the tour was not 2 hours.. thank you Alfredo

Join me for a tour you'll never forget! Spend a day like a true italian with a real roman host! Here you'll be treated to a typical 1950s style Italian breakfast "Cornetto & Cappuccino" by Mister Armando's coffee shop. We'll cycle through the oldest districts of Rome: Testaccio and Trastevere, before heading for the Tiberina Island and the Jewish Ghetto. It's pizza time! The pizzeria we will visit dates back to 1824, and you'll get to enjoy their delicious traditional Roman pizza! We'll continue by crossing the "Campo de Fiori" food market to be by famous Navona square. Cycling through the Foro Romano,the heart of Rome, we'll arrive at the Colosseum. Riding down from Aventino Hill, we'll head to Testaccio, one of the least touristic districts. Lunch time! Off sure traditional and roman, at my private kitchen studio. We'll start enjoying the typical italian aperitivo (cheese,salame,prosciutto..) with a glass of prosecco!! I'll happy to cook for you a genuine roman pasta :Cacio e Pepe or Amatriciana or spaghetti alla puttanesca.During our lunch we'll taste "glasses" of Italian wine. Learn how to easily and successfully make homemade pasta by joining us at our cooking school located in the historic centre of Rome. Our team of professional chefs is pleased to meet you and spend a fun and unique lesson teaching you the secrets of making Ravioli, Fettuccine, Spaghetti, and Tortelli in different shapes. We will provide you with all the necessary tools including a kitchen gown, rolling pin, pasta cutter, eggs, and flour. After the preparation, we will cook the pasta together with their sauces. Each participant will prepare their pasta, then we will cook it in the same pot to share it with the rest of the group like a true Italian family. This experience will last for about 3 hours and will be an opportunity to socialize with other travellers and your host in an authentic Italian atmosphere. During the meal, we will serve the delicious organic Tuscan wine, which we produce on our farm called "Dalle Nostre Mani" using natural methods. If you want to drink during the lesson, you can buy some bottles at our shop before the lesson. Sugerimos comenzar por la mañana (alrededor de las 9:00) con un recorrido por el mercado en Testaccio junto con Andrea, a solo 10 minutos a pie desde nuestra casa hasta uno de los mercados de comida auténtica más populares y hermosos de Roma. El menú de la clase de cocina comenzará aproximadamente una hora después con un vino y aperitivos locales, incluidos en el menú. Milvia te enseñará a hacer fettuccine, ravioles y tortellini con diferentes salsas (ragú, pesto y mantequilla con queso parmesano) bebiendo dos tipos de vino. Como postre solo tortas caseras. Para aquellos que no pueden venir por la mañana, sugerimos (antes de la clase de cocina) la visita a la tienda del mercado Eataly, la tienda internacional de alimentos de productos italianos más famosa de Roma, comenzando el recorrido por la tarde a las 17.30 h.
