While in Southport, enjoy the shops, the majestic Live Oaks, dine at fabulous cafes & restaurants with water views, take a carriage ride, watch the boats go by, go on a ghost walk or tour a museum. Southport has something for eveyone!

Remodeled kitchen has new cabinets and appliances. We offer books, games, wifi and a roku to watch your favorite streaming apps. A tall privacy fence ensures the safety of your pets.

The Historic Backdoor Cottage in Southport, NC

The charming Backdoor Cottage is located in the Historic District of Southport, NC. It's named the Backdoor Cottage because you park and enter through the backdoor into the living space. It is within walking distance of the whole Historic District including the waterfront, restaurants, shops, churches and art galleries. Much of the art work in the cottage was done by local artists. Make the ~20 min paddle to experience the unspoilt beauty of Masonboro Island’s pristine, 9 mile white sand beach. Or chill on the dock and take in the jaw dropping views with a glass of wine.
