A comfortable room for two in a lovely 1905 mission-style house. A short walk to the Swarthmore College campus or the train to Philadelphia and the airport. Queen bed with private bathroom, with central air and wifi. Includes continental breakfast.
Charming private room for two in a quiet, tree-lined neighborhood, surrounded by nature. Enjoy a continental breakfast in the fully landscaped rear garden or on the 2nd floor porch that puts you at eye-level with the birds and the tallest beech trees in town.
Conveniently located near Philadelphia Airport: a short walk (3 blocks or so) gets you to the train into the City. Stroll around the Swarthmore College campus, a nationally recognized arboretum. If you like, we can arrange pick-up and drop-off at the Airport, which is a 12 minute drive away.
We have two small, friendly well-behaved dogs who are kept out of your room (though they love new people), and who can be kept entirely out of your way if you'd rather.
Disponible para huéspedes
Guests have their own 2nd floor private bedroom and bathroom, with access to the living room and dining room on the 1st floor, the rear garden and the 2nd floor porch. There is no access to the kitchen, except for food storage, (but we have been known to prepare a light supper for late-arriving travelers).
Atención a los huéspedes
We’re both seasoned travelers, and know that at the end of the day you want peace and comfort without a lot of hassle, so we’re here to help —Swarthmore and Philadelphia are fascinating places that prompt lots of questions— but for the most part, you can expect us to give you your space even though we’ll be home during your stay. If you’d like breakfast, we’ll happily serve you as though you were alone in a private hotel, or accept your invitation to have a cup of coffee and a conversation.

Happy to offer details of getting around/directions/ideas for things to do in the area. If you are a zipcar member, there are two about a five minute walk on the College campus.
I hope you behave as you would in your own house, or as you'd wish I would behave in your house. No smoking indoors.
I am a costume designer, project manager, singer, wife and parent. I love to travel - have many places on my list, but because of family, have spent the most time in London. I hope to get everywhere at some point, and have endless curiosity about the world. Look forward to meeting you!
