Ground level apartment in a large gracious house in a perfect location. Our house is on the east side of town in an old beautiful neighborhood, up on the bluff and just a walk down the stairs to town. HR License #474.
The apartment has a great open layout, with 3 bedrooms and one large bathroom. Folks can spread out into their private and quiet rooms, or hang together where the kitchen and 2 living areas all open into one space. Outside we have a smallish grassy yard with comfortable outdoor patio furniture where you can enjoy a peek at the river. Nothing is fancy but the space is very clean with new beds. The best part is the room with the three soft furry "Lovesacs" where you can plop down, sink into and relax and watch a movie or read a book.
Disponible para huéspedes
Guests have access to the parking area, the space along the walkway and side of the house to securely stow any recreational gear they have, a private yard of their own, and the entire apartment.

I spent many years living in Washington DC working on national campaigns for child safety, sustainable agriculture, and fair trade. About 20 years ago, I was charmed by a man who loved the forest more than the city, and we moved to Hood River, Oregon on the promise that we would spend half our time on each coast. When we had our son 15 years ago, our plan of splitting our time faded into a dream and we settled in Hood River. Just to keep things complicated, when Cozzi turned 10 we moved to Vancouver, WA so that he could attend a wonderful, small school, known as The Gardner School. Now that he is in high school, we have moved back to Hood River to enjoy the local community and all the independence that small town affords a teenager. Life can get complicated!
I love Hood River, but I have not yet wanted to let go of our house in Vancouver with its proximity to Portland. And while I like the Pacific Northwest, I've always loved our special house and its adjoining little house, and our neighborhood in Takoma Park. Sharing each of our homes allows us to indulge my bi-coastal, country-city loyalties.
It's really fun for me to open our homes to you. In Hood River you will find cool refuge in our apartment, after doing all there is to do in the Gorge. In Vancouver, the light streaming from the skylights and big windows will lift your spirits, and you will sink into the quiet of the neighborhood. In the big pink house in Takoma Park, many people have enjoyed its welcome embrace. It sounds crazy, but you will know what I mean once you get there. In the little house in Takoma Park, which we fondly call the 'carriage house', you will find yourself feeling like you are in a treehouse where the world melts away.
