I) As a host, I just enjoy seen our guests' happy faces and general satisfaction with our hosting practices. You'd be amazed the number of great, kind people you may meet through Airbnb Hosting.
II) As a traveler, I'm a technology business owner and travel world-wide to teach classes to various corporations usually Monday--Friday. I prefer quiet, clean places to stay with no pets in my own room. People say I'm friendly and my stays are non-invasive. If you live where I will rent you will still feel comfortable in your own home. I usually need a table and a chair to sit at and do some computer work using my laptop. Internet access is a plus. I can have that table either in my bedroom or in another (possibly shared) room that won't be too noisy.
