Were also within Driving distance to Saline County Conservation Area, Sahara Woods SRA, Tunnel Hill State Trail, and Cave in Rock State Park. This cozy tiny home is located a little over one mile off of Interstate 57 and within two miles of Rend Lake. Whether traveling through and needing an easy one night stay or a weekend getaway, this is the place for you. Located in the quiet village of Whittington, the property has great access to the area while providing a peaceful stay on the edge of the country. Our property has multiple rental buildings, but there is plenty of parking space for anyone traveling with a pickup and trailer.

There’s a large gas station and DG store 1/2 mile away for anything you need, and Harrisburg is just a short drive further. If you’re looking to explore or hunt in the Shawnee National Forest, this is the perfect place to be! Guests have full access to the home, hot tub and all amenities.

Choisser Burnett House - Vintage Charm & Comfort

The historic Choisser Burnett House is located at 1201 Organ Street in Eldorado, Illinois.  A revival style home built in the 1880's, it was home to several prominent families who were responsible for business development in the area. Twenty minutes minutes south is the  Shawnee National Forest whose terrain spans woodlands, hills and lakes and it's wildlife includes bald eagles. There is a sister house across the street, The Paddock at 1208 which sleeps 6 and is also on Airbnb.com.

We also packed as many amenities as we could into this property including an oversized 6-Person hot tub, 500 MBPS fiber internet, outdoor tv, fire pit table, Weber grill, hammock swings, custom bathroom with rainfall shower, full kitchen, coffee bar, king & queen sized beds, bean bag toss, board games and much more!

Enjoy the secluded forest location surrounded by towering trees, abundant wildlife, and plenty of outdoor activities. Our cabin is just minutes away from the Trail of Tears, Dixon Springs State Park, the delicious Chocolate Factory, the towns of Golconda, Metropolis, and the bigger city of Paducah. NEW IN OCTOBER 2021: We have installed high-speed fiber optic WiFi to the cabin.

Forested Retreat

This is a nice spacious cabin in the woods right on the water. It has a covered front porch across the entire length of the cabin. There is one bedroom, a sleeping loft, living room, kitchen, dining area, and a bathroom with shower. The interior is all finished in beautiful native hardwood lumber. It is surrounded by large oak trees and has a pond right in front. It is set back approximately 300 ft from a public road which provides excellent privacy.

Clean Farmhouse in the Heart of Shawnee National

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful get away. 10 acre horse farm located near some of The Shawnee National Forest's best sights. Garden of the Gods, Rim Rock, Iron Furnace, and One Horse Gap are just a few that are minutes away. Feel free to fish in the ponds(catch and release), or relax on the porch after the days adventure. Accommodations for indoor storage of motorcycles or a topless jeep are available on the property upon request.

This is a charming 1 bedroom 1.5 bath cottage located in the heart of Carmi. Enjoy the fully stocked kitchen, dining table for 4, high speed Wi-Fi, two smart TVs, 1 queen bed upstairs with a half bath, with a full Bath on the main floor, and a private parking spot. We also have a 25amp Level 2 charger available upon request for anyone needing to charge their EV while they stay!
