The Old Orchard Cottage

A beautiful fully self contained 2 bedroom holiday home in the charming historic village of St Bathans, Central Otago. Built using the traditional method of mud brick with 2 bedrooms (1 double bed in the first bedroom and 1 three quarter bed or small double in the second bedroom) and a sofa in the lounge that converts to a small double bed. A warm and cosy little home with all modern amenities. Ideal for Rail trail riders, families, or a quiet romantic get away from the maddening crowds.

Danseys Pass Lavender Farm Retreat (shepherds hut)

Come and enjoy a unique stay at our little Lavender Farm nestled in the Kakanui Ranges. Sitting adjacent to the main house, you'll find comfort in your self-contained shepherd's hut, including private outdoor bath and shower. Take the mountain ebikes for a tour around the surrounding countryside, jump in one of the water holes around the property or maybe try trout fishing. Our holiday home has no wifi or TV, but there is a cupboard full of board games, a shed full of firewood and old bikes! Enjoy a ride on the rail trail in either direction for a pub meal. A pint and pie at the Waipiata Pub is a must do local experience. Naseby is a short 10 min drive away.

Don't forget Naseby as a fantastic dark skies location!!

The School House @ The Old Naseby School House

Yes, this is really The Old Naseby School House. This 2 bedroom house sleeps up to 7 people. A king room with ensuite, a second bedroom with 3 single beds, and the option of a double sofa bed in the lounge area. All beds have electric blankets. Full kitchen. Second bathroom with washing machine. The living area is heated by a log burner & heat pump. Outside is a verandah to BBQ & relax & enjoy the outdoor area.

Bonspiel Gold Miner’s Stone Huts

Hello about The Bonspiel Gold Miner’s Huts , are left over from the goldmining Days , you can enjoy sitting in the peace & quiet by the open fire , as you cook on the gas cooker. Water will be in containers. The toilet it is a long drop with a great view. there is no Power (can supply a generator) This place is not for the townie or faint hearted who can’t handle the country life .

Great in all weather, a cosy lounge that has a large log burner, Heat pump plus heat transfer. Brand new decking at the front and back of this home will allow you to sit back relax and smell the country air. The section has plenty of room for outdoor living while keeping an eye on the kids. Short stroll to the famous Gilchrist Store, Central Otago Rail Trail and local tavern.

Ranfurly is a small country town in Central Otago, and is a perfect spot to stay for activities like winter sports, cycling the Rail Trail, fishing the numerous dams and rivers, exploring the tracks and conservation areas by motorbike or 4wd or just a spot for a quiet, relaxing time.
