A beautifully appointed cottage in the middle of Michigan's Leelanau county wine country. Suttons Bay is five minutes away and downtown Traverse City is 10 minutes. The Leelanau bike trail is just down the road for all of you bicycle enthusiasts. Our place is a great central point for excursions to Sleeping Bear Dunes, Kayaking on the Crystal River, having a meal in historic Fishtown, wine tasting, ciders and breweries and so many more unique things to do on the Leelanau peninsula.

This place is a winter and summer wonderland. Our cottage is a small 50's style with much character tucked away in the woods. We’re surrounded by the 70,000 acre Sleeping Bear Dunes. There’s plenty of skiing, canoeing, hiking and fishing, peace and quiet. Applewood and its sister cabin, the Cherrywood, are attached properties. Rent both for a larger event! They are part of the Homewood Cottage Association.

A short drive to town will give you access to restaurants, groceries, breweries and wineries. Dogs are welcome! Please message us to discuss bringing more than 1. Absolutely no cats or other pets are allowed. We do not have a TV, but we do have fiber optic high speed internet.

Idyl Daes Cottage was built in the 1950s on the Tunnel of Trees Scenic Heritage Route which follows Lake Michigan’s stunning shoreline to Cross Village. It is located two miles from downtown Harbor Springs and is close to a number of spectacular beaches and hiking trails. The large field stone fireplace is perfect for cool evenings and the spacious screened porch is ideal for relaxing summer evenings with lake breezes.
