Log Cabin at the foot of the Mournes

A beautiful log cabin set at the foot of the Mourne mountains, perfect for couples looking to escape all the hustle and bustle. Your accommodation has that open plan alpine feel with a wood burning stove. (Fuel not supplied, please note this is a wood burning stove only). There is also oil fired central heating. Fully fitted kitchen and in very close proximity to Newcastle's town center. Also on the doorstep of Donard Park and Tollymore forest Park, world famous for the "Game of Thrones".

Ash Trees Cottage is a hidden gem, overlooking the Slieve Croob Mountains. Located up a private family lane of 1/2 mile, you can enjoy all the scenary in a quiet tranquill private space, take in the beautiful views whilst relaxing in your own private Palms Spa Hot Tub. This includes a lovely private seating area and picnic table and a Fire Pit at your convinience. At night time, the area is lit up with beautiful cluster lighting to enhance the experience. Our place is aTourist Board accredited farmhouse, close to the Dromara Hills, Slieve Croob Scenic Loop, Newcastle, Castlewellan Forest Park, Mourne Mountains, Hillsborough. The accommodation is 2 stories, 3 bedrooms and a full bathroom upstairs (2 double and a twin bedroom). Downstairs is kitchen/ living room, separate sitting room and toilet/ shower room. Spacious yard is great for parking. We welcome couples, business travellers, families, pets, golfers, film crews, walkers and cyclists

The well equipped comfortable cottage sleeps five and has direct access to Strangford Lough, a secret bird hide situated on the shore line with a secluded wooded BBQ, fire pit and picnic area for guest to enjoy.
