The Treehouse: Off-grid Retreat

Shaded in a canopy of macrocarpa trees at the base of Mt Taranaki national park, The Treehouse is a grown-up childhood sanctuary. Built from recycled materials, a repurposed spiral staircase takes you up the multiple levels of The Treehouse to a secluded living space nestled between the trees. Kick back in the canopy, swoop on the swings or shoot down the slide. This self-contained treehouse is powered by renewable energy and is only a short drive to New Plymouth, local beaches and the mountain.

Permaculture garden stay - 2 bedrooms

Cosy, clean, quiet and spacious 2 bedroom garden apartment with separate lounge, kitchen and bathroom, with every amenity for a great stay. Large paved patio with barbecue and outdoor furniture and views over the acre of permaculture garden. Adults and children over 13 only (garden safety issues). Two mins walk to Locals cafe, 2 mins drive to takeaways/bars, 5 mins drive to centre of town, coastal walkway, galleries, and museum. Ten mins drive to Pukekura park for Womad and Bowl concerts.

Cosy by the Sea

We offer you a private, warm, small quiet space neatly contained on the ground floor of our family home. Our quiet street sits right above the ocean where you can hear the lapping waves of the Tasman sea from your private courtyard, and have unlimited views out to the horizon. You'll want a camera for the sunsets. The entrance to the room is separate from the entrance to our house, so one has complete privacy. We offer modern bicycles for guest use at the cost of $20 per day, per bike.

We love sharing this space with you as we believe it's something special.

Our Cottage is cosy, newly refurbished and fully equipped and detailed. With Mangati Walkway just around the corner, a bike ride takes 30 minutes to Fitzroy Beach/Te Rewa Rewa bridge. Perfect for attending concerts, Festival of the Lights, WOMAD or for just roaming around Brooklands and Pukekura Parks. New Plymouth City is a short 5 minute drive away or a 20 minute walk through the park to the CBD. Guests have secure onsite parking on the premise. We provide a quiet newly built studio securely positioned to maximise privacy from the family home.
