Central to the areas activities, the days can seem short with easy access to Fontana Lake, the Appalachian Trail, Tsali Recreation Area, Nantahala Outdoor Center, Nantahala Gorge, & the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Enjoy an evening by the firepit after a day of adventures. We look forward to your stay!

Mateo 39D at Nantahala Weddings & Events - no pets

The Mateos (named after our architect’s little son) are 4 small and separate bungalows with eye-popping views of Lake Nantahala and the Smoky Mountains through an 8-foot sliding glass door. Each Mateo has a queen size bed, private bath, ac/heat, and a kitchenette with a Keurig coffeemaker, 4.4 cu. ft. refrigerator with freezer, air fryer, microwave, tableware, and glassware for two people. The Mateos are not handicap-accessible. Pets are never allowed – 39D is a pet-free space ($200 penalty).

SunnySide Chalet

Lake front SunnySide Chalet is a perfect get away for couples or a small family. The yard is nice to play in and the docks are fun to jump off of. The chalet has most of everything you need, it is our home away from home! We are dog friendly, so the whole family can come! Hiawassee has much to offer- shopping, spas, movie theater, fine dining, water sports and Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds. Young Harris College is only 7 minutes away. Pickle ball courts and a free beach is only minutes away.

Lakefront Cottage - Private Dock on Lake Nantahala

Lakefront Cottage is a lakefront home that is located in the Nantahala Forest and includes its own dock directly on Lake Nantahala. Lakefront Cottage features a living room, a dining area, and a fully equipped kitchen, located on the main level. In addition, the main level will also have a master bedroom with a queen bed. On the second level, you can find three additional bedrooms; two bedrooms each with queen beds and one bedroom with two double beds and two twin beds and a full bathroom.

Mountain Lake House [Kayaks & Paddleboards]

Welcome to PaddleFin! You will enjoy the beautiful lake and mountain views from the large deck on the house and a deck close to the water. This is a peaceful retreat - cell phone service is not available or very limited, no Wi-Fi, and no TV service. We allow A MAXIMUM of 4 guests! There is one king bed and one queen bed. We currently have two kayaks (one single and one two-person), two paddleboards, and a canoe available for use by our guests. Paddles and life jackets are included.

Our deck is a perfect place to enjoy at sunset and to have a drink with family and friends. The porch swing is a great place to spend a rainy afternoon. It is a small rustic cabin of 1150 square feet but it can sleep up to 8.
