Button Cottage is a Grade II listed, 450-year-old former button makers’ home, built from local greenstone and restored to an authentic, 5-star standard. With sweeping countryside views and walks, a secluded courtyard garden and artisan shops, cafés and welcoming pubs just a stroll away, it’s a beautifully romantic and enchanting couples retreat.

Beautiful country barn/peaceful location

Our double height wood and stone barn directly opposite our house is found at the end of a long private drive in lovely Dorset countryside. A very comfortable 5ft bed, woodburning stove and pretty views, a perfect relaxing and cosy retreat. Easy access to lots of interesting places. Guests can play tennis and croquet. The Barn sleeps two adults. Ample parking directly next to Barn. Please note the Barn unsuitable for children and infants. NB There are no shops or pubs within walking distance.

The self-catering cottage is in a unique gated courtyard near the foot of Gold Hill and is within a short walk of the town centre and a local pub. It is compact and therefore suitable for singles and couples (I do not accept 3rd party bookings), and we also welcome well-behaved pets. You will have use of a private enclosed garden a short walk from the cottage, and on-street parking is available nearby.
