The quaint, picturesque village of Plockton is close by and the historic Eilean Donan Castle 8 miles away.

Skye Red Fox Retreat - stunning luxury glamping

The Red Fox Retreat is the ultimate luxury glamping getaway location. A twist on the more conventional ‘pod’, the cabin features a curved wood interior entered from an arched doorway in front of which is situated a perfectly appointed king sized bed with amazing views of the Trottenish Ridge and the croft (farmland) that surrounds the property. Recently refurbished, it is a spacious apartment, situated on the shores of Loch Duich with spectacular views of the loch and The Five sisters of Kintail. It is ideally situated in a quiet little village for guests who want to enjoy outdoor pursuits, such as hill walking, sight seeing and wildlife spotting, or to use as a base for exploring the Skye and Lochalsh area.

We will be on hand just next door to give you a warm welcome and to ensure your stay with us, and whilst you explore the Skye and Lochalsh area , is both enjoyable and peaceful. Sleeping 4 people in 2 bedrooms (plus an additional sofa bed sleeping 2) the house has been completely upgraded and renovated to a very high standard. With panoramic views over the Loch, surrounding mountains and Eilean Donan castle, yet within a mile of picturesque Dornie where you’ll find a pub, post office, shop and bakery/pizza takeaway.
