1880s Miner’s Cottage in Moonta Mines – Heritage

Step back in time at this 1880s miner’s cottage in historic Moonta Mines. Built over 140 years ago and extended in the early 1900s by the man who built many Yorke Peninsula roads, it still features the dining room, kitchen and bathroom he added. Lovingly owned for 12+ years and renovated twice, the cottage blends original stone walls and low doorways with modern comforts, a cozy wood fire, a well-equipped indoor & outdoor kitchen, and a big backyard perfect for BBQs under the dark night stars.

Welcome to The Coastal Crab – Your Beachside Getaway in Moonta Bay Located in the beautiful town of Moonta Bay, The Coastal Crab is just a 2-hour drive from Adelaide. Surrounded by beaches and local attractions, it’s a great place to relax and explore. The Moonta Bay Jetty is a 4-minute drive, or a 20-minute walk to the beach. Our secure backyard has a kids’ playground, and the shed includes bikes and fishing gear if you’d like to try the local pastime. We look forward to welcoming you home!

Maldon - perfectly located beach town cottage

Maldon is one of Wallaroo's old lime stone & granite cottages. A privately owned cottage so centerally located you can leave your car and walk to almost everything & has just undergone a total revitalization right through out in refeashing and family friendly decor. The back yard bosts has an awesome Alfrasco BBQ area nestled amongst the old stone fence and paved with old red bricks where you can comfortably seat 10 secluded in the large fully lawned surrounds. Many extras at no extra cost.

A quaint and crooked Cornish cottage

This is a cottage we bought in October 2020. We had many holidays cancelled through COVID and decided instead to explore our own backyard. We arrived in Moonta, fell instantly in love with its history and beautiful beaches and on spec bought this little cottage with our hearts instead of our heads! We loved that it was situated within an old cornish mining village and that the beach was just 5 minutes drive away. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN SHEETS, PILLOW CASES, TOWELS AND BATH MATS, THANK YOU.

Moonta Bay Self Contained Unit

Large one bedroom unit, set on it's own block of land. Located in a quieter part of Moonta Bay. You are a couple of minutes drive to the shops of Moonta and the historical Moonta Mines. A couple of minutes drive to the Moonta Bay beach and jetty, which includes a free water park for kids to play at the foreshore. 5 minute drive to Pt Hughes boat ramp. There is plenty of off street parking and room for children to ride bikes safely away from the road. Small dogs are permitted outside.

Sea views

Continental breakfast on request. Uninterrupted sea views from kitchen, dining and lounge area. Accomodation consists of lounge, dining/family area plus kitchen. Master bedroom, one queen bed, shower, separate toilet and powder room. Happy to have a discussion with regard to bringing your pet. Three minute walk to south beach, jetty, local store and Tavern. Room for boat outside. 9 hole Greg Norman designed Golf Course close by. Owners live upstairs. Shared laundry. Dog on site.

Sandcastles 1 Moonta Bay

*Loose supplied linen option available or BYO* Newly renovated property situated on the beachfront with near 180deg views. No roads between the property and the beach with convenient stairway access to beach at the front. Neighbouring property, Sandcastles 2 Moonta Bay may also be of interest depending on availability and your group size. Note, a security camera at Sandcastles 1 shed monitors the rear of property where property is entered and rubbish bins are stored for security.

Our stunning, fully self-contained family holiday home is situated RIGHT on the sandy beach at North Beach, with no roads to cross. Step off the deck onto the white sandy beach at your doorstep. Enjoy snorkeling, swimming, walking, and relaxing on the beautiful North Beach. 2-minute stroll to North Beach Kitchen Cafe Bed linen and bathroom towels are supplied. The beds are made up for your arrival so you can unpack and relax. No need to bring any linen, just beach towels.

The 1862 waterfront Heritage listed Wallaroo Customs House is now available for you to experience, recently renovated and restored. Spacious living areas inside and out providing: three comfortable queen bedrooms, with ocean views, a stylish new kitchen with ocean views, and two beautiful heritage styled bathrooms. Only metres to the beaches, eateries and the jetty. An easy 5 minute walk to the main shopping centre.

The Beach Shack on Nharangga

The Beach Shack is nestled halfway down Otago Rd, and your veranda opens straight out onto the sand! This original weatherboard beach shack will remind you of your childhood holidays, and has everything you will need for a relaxing holiday. We want our place to be somewhere you can relax and switch off - to help with this there is no tv at the shack. Have a great stay!
