Urban Tranquilatree

Access to the tree house can be conducted by phone so you don't meet anyone. All contact surfaces are cleaned using dettol wipes and linen is washed at 60 deg. This is a real tree house, fully insulated, 6m off the ground. It faces south with views of the city. It is situated in our garden but screened by trees giving privacy. It consists of a bedroom with a deck at the top level and a bathroom on the level below. Cork city centre is a 5 min. walk. Access to the city is via a STEEP HILL.

We are a 20 minute drive from Midleton town and 10 minutes off the N25 Cork-Waterford road. Brilliant for an individual, a family or couples. The cottage boasts a bright living area with high ceilings and a South/West facing private patio.

The Yard is a short drive to beaches, golf courses, renowned restaurants. We are also an ideal base to explore towns of Youghal & Midleton, both being only a 15/20 minute drive.

Lighthouse keepers; Home of the year finalist

Welcome to the lighthouse keepers house! We have been voted as one of Ireland’s top 50 places to stay by the Irish Independent #Fab50 ( number 26 :)) We spent two years renovating this 200 year old building. In May 2020, it featured on RTE Home of the year and became a finalist in the top 7 homes in Ireland. Irish lights built all 76 lighthouses & keepers houses in Ireland, and this is the only lighthouse keepers house in a town in Ireland!

This terrace of four houses were build c.1810 for the workers and families at the Jameson distillery. Use as a base to explore the busy town of Midleton and the surrounding areas of East Cork. Regular trains connect Midleton to Cork City.
