Deer, coyote, foxes, mountain lions, owls, hawks, vultures, and bears also frequent the area.

Conveniently located 15 minutes south of Mendocino, this property offers privacy with space to spread out between the houses. The hot tub and BBQ/ Fire pit area is shared with the guest house which sits below. This is a place to reflect, relax and recharge. Beach Trail Cottage offers a deep front porch, decorative shingles, and high-pitched roof angles that seamlessly blends the old with the new for an unpretentious yet elegant, inviting space.

A place to relax, recharge, or finish a creative project. Bookings include Mendocino County tourism tax. No pets due to wildlife, and host allergies. Note: bear, fox, hawks, quail, bats, lizards, banana slugs, bobcat, spiders are part of the forest ecosystem and may occasionally visit the vicinity.

If you love a clawfoot tub, this place is for you (there is a comically-short shower intended only as a backup).

There are numerous trees surrounding the cottage, providing privacy. The views are of open meadow, forest and apple orchard. Lots of outdoor space; fire pit, redwood fairy ring with hammock, secret tree forts, lawn games, outdoor kitchen with sink, counter and BBQ.

We're located on 5 wooded acres 10 minutes from the village of Mendocino, Big River Beach, Mendocino Woodlands and Mendocino Headlands. Located in a quiet lush setting of Redwoods, and wild Rhododendrons adjacent to Jackson State Forest. The cottage has one bedroom and bathroom and the living area includes a full kitchen. Quiet and secluded. Located on a paved private lane away from traffic.
