Nestled along the Mississinewa River near James Dean's hometown, Taylor Univ and Indiana Wesleyan Univ, we were originally named Harrisburg, until the natural gas boom of the 1800s. The town was renamed Gas City boasting to grow to a pop of 50 thous, but sadly the gas wells dried up. Visit the Gas City museum at 210 South A St opened 1-4 sat&sun, relax at Beaner Linn Park 701 S Broadway or visit one of our shops. Salamonie State Property surrounds the Carriage House on three sides which means, this is all public land for you to explore! The Carriage House shares five acres with our residence. The Carriage House has loads of rustic charm, however, the modern amenities will keep you comfortable! Whether you're horseback riding, fishing, boating, hiking, biking on the Wabash County Trail, seeing a show at the Honeywell Center or just simply...want to get away, the Carriage House is awaiting your arrival!

You won’t forget the peaceful surroundings of this rustic destination. Enjoy wildlife, kayaking, fishing, campfires, horses, hiking and games. We also have a sauna and a hot tub available on the premises There is Roku TV and WIFI in the cabin. You can sit on the front porch and enjoy the swing or rocking chairs and listen to the night sounds or chat with friends. You can also enjoy a campfire and cook over the open fire on our tripod grill. We have 2 other cabins and our cozy apartment listed.

We offer a beautiful new Cottage with spectacular views of our quaint hobby farm filled with miniature goats, chickens, rabbits, our resident paint horse. This property offers a lodge feel with the benefits of being right in the middle of Muncie close to Everything!! 2 miles or less to Ball Sate , Minnetrista , shopping, and restaurants. You have your own fenced in yard. There is also a private little porch and a fire pit to enjoy your evening. We also accept dogs. We do not require a pet deposit but if your pet causes any damage we will request restitution through this sight.
