The king bedroom is on the ground floor with views of Thurso Bay and Dunnet Head. Within the room are fitted wardrobes, charging points and tea/coffee making facilities and a fridge. A continental breakfast is served in the room. Our home is situated above Scrabster harbour, it is a 15-20 minute walk to catch the Orkney ferry. Alternatively it is a great place to stay if you're working in the area or exploring Caithness. If you're passing through on the NC500 this is ideal as a stopping point

The Highland Haven, converted barn, John O'Groats

The Highland Haven is perfect for those travelling the NC500 or visiting Orkney in a group. Our two rooms have traditional box beds and can sleep up to 10 (4 in one room, 6 in the other), each with Ensuite and an extra wet room. There is a large open plan kitchen, dining, lounging area surrounding a wood burner. We have secure parking, free laundry facilities and WIFI . Our location is stunning and full of wildlife. Dogs are welcome; please bring bedding for them. Breakfast: cereal, milk, fruit juice, tea, coffee, bread, butter, jams, & yoghurt. Check in after 4pm (rarely we may ask you to come a little later.)
