From here you can also explore the rest of the island and mainland at your leisure.

Achnashellach Bothy, cosy home in mountain scenery

Achnashellach Bothy is a cosy cottage set in a mature garden, in Strathcarron. Lochcarron village is nearby. The cottage is on the NC500 route and is set in magnificent mountain scenery. A perfect base for walkers and mountain bikers to explore the West Coast and the Isle of Skye. The cottage is conveniently and centrally located for touring near to the Torridon Munros, Beinn Eighe Nature reserve, Loch Maree, the Corrieshalloch gorge, Applecross, as well as many stunning West Coast beaches.

Foulis Castle Gate Lodge

Foulis Gate Lodge is a Highland cottage on the Gates of an historic, private, Highland estate with its own drive. The secluded location offers direct access to extensive gardens. The nearest amenities are 2miles in Evanton or 5miles to the ancient Burgh of Dingwall. Foulis Castle is a 15 min walk away from the Storehouse Restaurant & Farm shop, which is situated on the shore/beach of the Cromarty Firth (Mon-Sat 9-5pm). My place is good for NC500 travellers, couples, and business travellers.

Garve Cottage is a comfortable and well appointed home with three bedrooms; two with double beds and one with two single beds. Full bathroom with bath and shower upstairs and shower room, toilet, and wash hand basin downstairs. The kitchen has a built in dishwasher, microwave and electric hob and full oven. Underfloor heating was recently installed along with new tiled flooring extending through utility room to downstairs shower room. Washing machine and dryer in utility room.

Lusa Bothy is a luxury getaway location for couples on the Isle of Skye. It was the idea of the owner to renovate an old stone building into an amazing space with a feast for the senses in mind. The cottage is ideally located with easy access to Kyle of Lochalsh and the Isle of Skye as well as the charming villages of Kintail, Glenelg, Dornie and Plockton. The village of Dornie is home to the world famous Eilean Donan castle which is only a 10min drive from the cottage.

The Strawbale Bothy is made from simple, natural materials; wood, clay, straw and lime, there are no nasty chemicals, no concrete, and where we have had to use plastic, it is to an absolute minimum. Built just for two, feel free to kick off your shoes and coorie in after a bracing walk in the sea air or though misty glens.
