Magical, grade II listed 18th century traditional Lakeland cottage set within 5 acres of woodlands, leading directly to 2 private beaches on Lake Windermere. Relax in a peaceful, natural environment, ideal for friends, families, wild swimmers, cyclists, paddle boarders, hikers and for cosy evenings by the fireplace. Separately charged are a luxurious hot tub, perfect after a hard days hike and a wood fired barrel sauna with cold shower. A tuck shop, art classes and treatments are also available.

Lake View Lodge

Stay at the Lake View Lodge and wake up to fantastic views every morning across the meadow, Lake Windermere, fells and mountains beyond. The Lodge is a self-contained cabin with access to three acres of grounds and wild meadows attracting a wonderful array of wildlife including owls, red kites, deer, foxes and woodpeckers. Enjoy a large 45 square meter space with king sized bed, double sofa bed, shower room and kitchenette. Ideally suited for up to two adults and two children or three adults.

There are many wonderful walks and bike rides available from the front door. Stays start Mondays or Fridays.

Perfectly located to access The Lakes and the medieval village of Cartmel. Cosy log stove, Wifi and private car park. A peaceful retreat, hidden within 3 acres of private ancient woodland in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales. Watch red squirrels play right outside the cabin doors as well as a vast array of birds and other wildlife. Bath in the authentic Scandinavian wood fired hot tub while watching the trees and the stars around you. Sorry, no dogs – to protect our ancient woodland and the endangered red squirrels who live here.
